I love when couples choose engagement sessions that truly reflect who they are, and Hunter and Autumn’s Lee’s Summit engagement session was such a fun and personal experience. As a Kansas City engagement photographer, I believe the best engagement photography sessions happen when couples can incorporate the places, hobbies, and moments that make their relationship unique.

Since Hunter is a firefighter, we started their engagement photos at his fire station in Lee’s Summit — and of course, we had to include photos with the fire truck! From climbing around the truck to capturing the pride and excitement they shared, the entire first half of the session was full of energy, personality, and meaningful moments that told their story.

For the second half of their evening engagement session, we headed to Lakewood Lakes, a location that perfectly reflected their love for summer, swimming, and spending time by the water. We kicked off our shoes, played along the shoreline, and captured the carefree moments that felt completely true to them as a couple.
