Jeff and Nicole’s engagement session at Powell Gardens happened at that really beautiful time of year when you can tell spring is finally starting to win over winter. The daffodils were just beginning to open, the trees were covered in tiny new buds, and there was that mix of brown grasses and bare trees with little pops of fresh spring growth everywhere. I loved it! There’s something so special about seeing the gardens come back to life after winter.

And these two were just adorable together! Jeff looked so dapper in his white button-down and dark blue jeans, and Nicole was beautiful in her white dress with blue flowers. Their blue and white outfits were perfect for the gardens and looked especially pretty against all those early signs of spring.

We spent some time wandering around Powell Gardens, enjoying the flowers that were starting to bloom and all the new growth around us. It was such a sweet, relaxed session, and I loved getting to capture Jeff and Nicole during this little in-between season—when winter is fading away and everything is starting fresh again. Just like their relationship, it felt like the beginning of something really good.
