We all know that photography is my passion…. and well, weddings are are a large part of the fun! Weddings keep me on my toes. I have to think fast, stay calm, and keep my creative juices flowing. I absolutely love the challenge!

Earlier in March I was able to photograph a beautiful bride and groom at one of my favorite locations - the Deer Creek Golf Course in Overland Park, KS. Whether you want an indoor or outdoor wedding, Deer Creek will take care of you. They have beautiful stonework, a cute bar area, and large picture windows inside. Outside, obviously the Golf Course, tall grasses, a pond, bridges, wonderful covered entryway, and more cute stonework found on their downstairs patio! I can’t say enough great things about this location! Every time I go, I find a different angle, view, corner in which to photograph my bride and groom!

The next thing on my list, and last for this post, is cake!! I love wedding cakes…. especially cupcakes, because then I can usually snag a few to take home and share with my husband and son. LOL! Anyway, I have recently gotten a chance to taste the great cakes, made by Megan Odle, of Sweet Dreams Cake Company… and let me tell you, they are yummy! Not only are they delicious, but beautiful, fun and creative to boot! Megan not only makes cakes, but a whole assortment of decorative treats! Definitely check her out, and don’t forget to share with your wedding photographer.
